         Goodreads summary.

There are two sides to every breakup.

This is Jordan and Courtney, totally in love. Sure, they were an unlikely high school couple. But they clicked; it worked. They're even going to the same college, and driving cross-country together for orientation.

Then Jordan dumps Courtney -- for a girl he met on the Internet.
It's too late to change plans, so the road trip is on. Courtney's heartbroken, but figures she can tough it out for a few days. La la la -- this is Courtney pretending not to care.
But in a strange twist, Jordan cares. A lot.
Turns out, he's got a secret or two that he's not telling Courtney. And it has everything to do with why they broke up, why they can't get back together, and how, in spite of it all, this couple is destined for each other.

                                    *************************

This book just screams summer read. When I picked this book up I could tell it was a summer kind of book. So, I went into it thinking it was a summer read book, and it is, nothing more nothing less. This book is a fast paced book. Not once was I bored with this book.

However, it was very predictable. By the third chapter, I knew what had happened to make him break up with her, I knew what was going to happen in the end, and I just about knew what was going to happen in the middle. However, that is not necessarily a bad thing, because that is kind of the definition of a summer book to me.

What was really interesting was how the book was told. The POV switched back and forth between the two main characters, Jordan and Courtney. Not only that, the time frame switched back and forth between the road trip and before, when they were dating. It sounds like it could be confusing, but it totally works for this book. This says a lot about the author, because not a lot of authors can do that and make it work.

Another thing about the story I did not like, was the relationship between Courtney and Jordan. They kept talking about how much they loved each other, but I could never feel that love. Their relationship felt more like two people who liked each other, liked not loved. Don't get me wrong, they were a cute couple, but just not a couple that I felt where in love.

On to the characters now. The main character Courtney thought and did, what you would think an average teenage girl would think and do. There was nothing special about her, the only thing that stood out was how annoying she was. Ever thought in her head was so stereotypical, that it got annoying to read the book in her POV. I am so glad that half of this book was in Jordan's POV.

However, Jordan was a little bit bit better then Courtney. He was at least sometimes kind, considerate, not shallow, and most importantly, he was not a drama quenn like Courtney. Although he was so stupid sometimes. Why did you have to break up with her, why not just tell her what you know. I could never get that.
