My thoughts
When I picked this book up I was expecting a very deep faerie book. What I got was the exact opposite. This book was a really light read, the characters where very likable, the plot was quick and fun , and the writing style was good.
The plot in this book was really fast paced, there was never a dull moment, and I finished it the some day I started it
However, there was a huge plot hole in this book. So, let me get this straight, Alicia was taught since birth that if the Fae knows she can see them then they will kill her, but then when she finally encounters a Fae, she can't even pretend that she can't see them. You would think after 17 years of being taught that they will KILL you, that you would at least be able to pretend that you can't see them a little bit better.
Another thing that really annoyed me was that Alicia talked like she was in the 1700's and I hate it when authors do that.
One more thing, the relationship between Deveron and Alicia felt really thrown in there and fake.
All in all, this was a really fun read, but you can't really get serious with it. So, this is a summery kind of book.
